August Blog Candy! read on to see how you can win :)

Thank you for being so patient!  In my last post, I said that I would make an announcement regarding my blog candy for August in the next couple of days…

I believe that was on Thursday or Friday, my apologies for taking so long, here are a couple of pics of the blog candy for this month:

This is a retired stamp set that has never been used.  It is a wood set, and is not mounted.  Here is another picture:

Now…in order to win this blog candy stamp set…

You must be a SunnyStamper, and you must make a comment on this blog during the next 10 days.  You are a Sunnystamper if you have ever stamped at my house!!!  The name of every Sunnystamper who makes a comment during the next 10 days will be entered into the drawing on Saturday, August 11th.  You do not have to be present for Saturday’s stamp camp to claim your prize, you can collect it the next time we see each other!  GOOD LUCK!!!

Please remember to RSVP for stamp camp on Saturday, August 11th, or Monday, August 13th.

Now, I would like to explain why this post is much later than I intended.

Some of you may know that my baby sister, Dianna Laughlin moved to Daytona last week with her youngest son Josh.  She is the same sister I visited in Minnesota in 2006/2007 while she was in the hospital with not 1 but 2 brain aneurysms.  Well, needless to say she pulled through in flying colors!!!  What a true miracle she is, I am so blessed!  Josh and Dianna pulled into my driveway just after 5pm on Friday and they did not leave until 11am on Sunday.  I tried my best to get them to stay with me until they find work, but no, they insist on staying in Daytona.  I would love it if you would keep Josh and Dianna in your prayers that they both find work soon!  Yesterday Dianna filled out 15 job applications and 12 more today!  God love her, she is pounding the pavement and can’t wait to land a job…no matter what it is!!!  I guess it’s the Bohemian in us, we are determined to earn our keep!

Thank you all for being my friends, and for caring so much!  Don’t forget to comment during the next 10 days to be eligible to win the blog candy!

Slider Box

Good Morning!

Here is the top of the closed slider box we created in stamp camp!

There is a tiny little handle on the right, just like a dresser drawer, when you pull it…

You have a space on the left to stamp or write whatever sentiment you like, and on the right is your box to fill with goodies…chocolate, jewelry…something special for the recipient!

Wishing you a sunnystamping day!

Triple Layer Stamping

Hello 🙂

Here is a triple layer stamped card we made at stamp camp!

I still love this retired color…Bermuda Bay…paper, ink and ribbon. I wish I had done a bit more with this card… This stamp set is NOT retired! Circle Circus W 115778 C 127784.

I should have popped that layer up higher, and I should have punched one of those circles and put it on top with dimensionals, and added a button I think. I will next time, that’s for sure! 🙂

I love this technique. I can’t wait to make more of these cards! With so many stamp sets and all those colors, the possibilities are endless!

Thank you for stopping by!

Quick and Simple

Good Morning Friends,

Here is a CAS (Clean and Simple) card we made at stamp camp last Saturday and Monday night:

We sprayed it with Stampin’ Up shimmer paint mixed with alcohol, I do wish you could see the shimmer from this picture, just doesn’t show in the picture.

Just a quick note this morning. I have catcing up to do today at my full time job…sure wish this was my full time job 🙂

Have a wonderful day ladies, thank you very much for stopping by today!

Butterflies make me smile!

Good morning friends!

Here is one version of the butterfly card that we made at stamp camp on Saturday and again Monday night! Thank you all for coming, I have a great time with all of you! 🙂 Tiffani, you bring back so many memories for me, thank you!!!

These butterflies match the fabric we used to make our purses last month!
We used retired Stampin Up paper because the purples were so pretty for this fabric.

This picture shows the card with the flap untucked.

Here is a picture of the same card closed or with the flap tucked in.

I did a second card, moving the flap and used a different stamp from the Bordering on Romance set of stamps.

Janet Rainey is the person that told me about this card. Thank you Janet for sharing, it was fun to make this card with everyone! Ladies in our Saturday class, I’m not sure if we put rhinestones in the centers of our stamped flowers on the inside of the card. We were supposed to for some added bling!!!

I’m going to send one of these cards to my Gramma to make her smile!

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a great day!!!
